Founded in 1996, Collard-Picard (Grower Champagne / RM) was born from the union of Olivier COLLARD and Caroline PICARD, each from families of Champagne winegrowers who had been established since the end of the 19th century, respectively in Villers sous Châtillon for the COLLARD family and in Mesnil sur Oger for the PICARD family.

TWO FAMILIES, ONE SIGNATURE

Since 1889, winegrowing has been a way of life for the COLLARD and PICARD families. In the COLLARD family, based in the Marne Valley, René COLLARD, Olivier’s grandfather, established himself as a pioneer of the Meunier grape variety, passing on his passion to his son Daniel, then to Olivier. In the PICARD family, in the heart of the Côte des Blancs, Dominique PICARD, Caroline’s father, cultivates his Chardonnay Grand Cru vines with the same high standards.

THE QUINTESSENCE OF TERROIRS

It was from this lineage of winegrowers and this union that a unique philosophy was born in 1996: to combine the power and roundness of the Pinots of the Marne Valley with the finesse and purity of the Chardonnays of the Côte des Blancs. Today, the 16-hectare vineyard is managed with respect for the soil and the plants, favoring sustainable practices, moderate yields, and a constant search for natural balance.

THE IMPETUS OF A NEW GENERATION

Since the 2024 harvest, their son Alexandre, who holds a Master’s degree in Wine Management from the OIV, has joined them. Full of proposals and ideas, together they are constantly innovating and experimenting in the vineyard and in the cellar to cultivate the rare quality that reflects terroir and time.
